Continental Gold Partners with Conservation International for Environmental Preservation Initiatives in Buriticá



Continental Gold Limited (“Continental Gold” or the “Company”) and Conservation International jointly announces the signing of an agreement for the purpose of promoting conservation and environmental governance in the municipality of Buriticá, Antioquia, Colombia, where Continental Gold is currently advancing its 100%-owned Buriticá project.

Under the terms of the agreement, Conservation International will review and identify areas in the Buriticá region that are home to diverse wildlife and flora. Furthermore, the agreement calls for the development of environmental programs that are important to the biodiversity of the region and for the sustainable development and subsistence of the community.

“With this agreement, the Company ratifies its ongoing responsibility to environmental management in the areas in which it operates and further demonstrates Continental Gold’s continuous commitment to the preservation of the environment within the greater Buriticá area”, stated Guillermo Salgado Vergara, Vice President, Environment of Continental Gold.

The agreement, with a term of 16 months comprising three phases of work, represents an investment of COP 565 million by Continental Gold.
