Continental Gold is pleased to announce that we have received ISO 14001:2015 certification for the environmental management plan for our Buriticá gold project in Antioquia, Colombia. ISO 14001:2015 is an internationally agreed standard that sets out the requirements for an environmental management system that enables organizations to improve environmental performance through more efficient use of resources and reduction of waste.
Obtaining ISO 14001:2015 certification means that we have established an environmental management system that considers all environmental issues relevant to our operations, such as air pollution, water and waste management issues, soil contamination and resource use and efficiency. ISO14001:2015 certification is part of Continental Gold’s continuing efforts to maintain the highest independently-recognized international standards for the Buriticá project as part of our sustainability commitment towards local communities.
